Previously located in Port-de-Bouc, our operational center has now moved to Saint-Mitre-les-Remparts, a geographical positioning driven by strong industrial and operational considerations. This location secures our long-term presence close to the region’s major industrial sites, including refineries, petrochemical complexes, LNG terminals and power generation facilities.
This new site reflects our commitment to being a local and trusted partner for all industrial stakeholders in the region. In an environment where responsiveness and in-depth knowledge of facilities are essential—particularly during major industrial shutdowns and turnarounds—this proximity represents a significant asset for our clients.
The Southern region is now a strategic hub for Alpha, concentrating major challenges related to maintenance, major shutdowns, installation inspection and asset integrity management. Strengthening our presence in this area responds to the high concentration of such issues, which require recognized expertise in maintenance engineering, inspection engineering, operations support and non-destructive testing (NDT).
A large-scale project led by the Ponticelli Group
The completion of this project is the result of a long-term effort, successfully led by Yves PONTAL, former Deputy Chief Executive Officer and now Special Advisor to Alpha’s Executive Management, and Laurent PHILOUZE, Real Estate Director of the Ponticelli Group. Their expertise and vision made it possible to deliver this major project for Alpha and EGI, which will now share these new facilities.
This shared location strengthens synergies within the Group’s Engineering and Innovation Division and facilitates day-to-day collaboration between our teams.
Modern facilities designed to enhance performance
The new Saint-Mitre-les-Remparts operational center has been designed with a modern and functional approach. These spacious facilities provide our teams with a working environment tailored to their operational needs, fostering collaboration and well-being on a daily basis. At the heart of the site is a showroom presenting all of our digital tools used by our teams during major shutdown projects, with the ability to demonstrate their use through a dedicated scale model.
The site will host Alpha teams dedicated to maintenance engineering, inspection engineering and non-destructive testing (NDT).
In line with our environmental commitments and corporate social responsibility, the center will be equipped with solar panels, reducing the energy footprint of our activities. The site will also feature electric vehicle charging stations, as well as charging facilities for bicycles.
Located in the heart of a dynamic business area, the center benefits from a high-quality environment with numerous nearby amenities, including shops, a childcare center, a fitness center, occupational health services and even an equestrian center.
This approach illustrates our determination to integrate energy transition challenges into our development strategy, in line with the priorities of our industrial clients committed to the decarbonization of their facilities.
